We celebrate International Week of the Deaf by World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), and United Nations International Day of Sign Languages this month. An Informal coalition of interested Deaf stakeholders in Canada including representatives of other organizations have launched DeafDots, an email and web-based app and delivery platform as a hub connecting Deaf and hard of hearing Canadians.
DeafDots bridges accessibility as all DeafDots contents, reports, announcements and resources are presented simultaneously in two video formats: American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) – the primary languages of Deaf Canadians. Users can choose from ASL or LSQ Signed insert and English or French captions. There is no cost to access DeafDots community media tool.
“DEAFDOTS” Alerts & News in both ASL and LSQ!
